Profile: Art Whitman

Art Whitman is the Managing Partner for Sunbelt’s Franchise operations. Art works with prospective franchise buyers in the Chicagoland area to seek out franchise opportunities that best suit their needs. Art is a seasoned executive who brings over 30 years of proven experience in manufacturing, distribution, and mergers & acquisitions to his role as a finder of franchise opportunities for individuals with varying backgrounds and finances.

Art’s career began at Joseph T Ryerson, the largest steel service center in the country, in their Finance Department and advanced to become Asst Treasurer and Controller of the $2.5 billion organization by the end of his 16 year tenure with the organization. Art’s career and experience broadened as the Executive Vice President of a steel framing manufacturer in the Midwest, where he teamed with the President to facilitate the turnaround of this struggling company. Art has also successfully managed the acquisition and sale of several entities throughout his career

Art has a solid financial background, (CPA & MBA), plus a great deal of practical managerial experience. Over the past five years, he has provided consulting services to a host of businesses where he has been able to utilize his broad experience in all aspects of business operations.

Given the depth and breadth of Art’s experience, he is well suited as a Franchise Consultant yet, just as important, he enjoys helping individuals achieve their goal of owning a business.
