For over 35 years Richard M. Port, DDS, MS has served as an accomplished CEO/medical director of a dual pediatric and orthodontic specialty dental practice with significant leadership experience in complex, multi-site practice management strategies, from human resources management to compliance to real estate development.
Applying sound business and management practices allowed him to consistently improve practice management strategies, streamline processes, enhance marketing, and generate additional revenues for the principals of the business. All leading to increased profit and value of the practice.
Richard received his BS degree from Penn State and his Doctor of Dental Surgery and Master’s degrees from Northwestern University. He is one of a few dentists that is dual boarded in both Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics and a Diplomate of both American Boards. Utilizing his excellent communication skills, he has also successfully taught and mentored the next generation of dental practitioners in a clinical faculty role at two major universities.
His education and experience uniquely position him too oversee the dental and healthcare business as part of the suite of services Sun Acquisitions offer.
